They lead the MRF Tyres ICC Men’s ODI Rankings after their thrilling Chennai triumph over India.

Australia leads India after a 21-run triumph. Visitors have 113.286 rating points, while Men in Blue have 112.638. India had 114 rating points, and Australia had 112.

Australia won the series 2-1 after having an easier time in Visakhapatnam.

Australia started well again when Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head batted first. Hardik Pandya’s golden arm interrupted the 68-run stand when they felt they might beat India.

Pandya bowled Marsh and Steve Smith for ducks in his next two overs. He was needed again when he ran in from afar and caught David Warner.

Marcus Stoinis and Alex Carey rescued Australia with a 58-run stand after losing half their squad for 138. Two wickets fell rapidly. The bottom order helped the visitors reach 269. Before bowled out with one over left.

The Indian openers started well, but Rohit Sharma’s pull shot cost him. Even though Shubman Gill appeared fit, Adam Zampa trapped him in front of him.

Virat Kohli and KL Rahul played wisely. Therefore India lost fewer wickets than in the prior ODI. He hid in the deep while Rahul was escaping. Their 69-run collaboration ended. India’s strategy to elevate Axar up the order failed due to a mix-up and Smith and Alex Carey’s outstanding fielding, which doomed the southpaw.

Ashton Agar bowled well for nine overs but didn’t get any wickets. He changed the game on his last over. Once Kohli passed 50, he got Suryakumar Yadav for a third consecutive golden duck.

Adam Zampa ended the last partnership with Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja since they couldn’t score fast enough.

On the 47th over, Mohammad Shami hit two boundaries, but Stoinis won. India was run out, 21 runs short of the objective.
