Imam-ul-Haq Stated for India

Imam-ul-Haq Stated everyone wants to beat India in India before the World Cup.

Pakistan “had already started thinking about the 2023 World Cup during the 2019 big tournament,” according to Imam-ul-Haq.

Imam-ul-Haq, the opening batsman for Pakistan, stated that the national team’s players have been practicing for the International Cricket Council (ICC) men’s World Cup 2023 ever since the 2019 competition.

“At the 2019 World Cup, we had already begun to consider the 2023 World Cup. In a Saturday exclusive interview with Geo Television, Imam stated that everyone wants to do well and defeat India in India. He was also eager to observe the struggle for the starting position in the Pakistani team.

“The fight for the starting position is advantageous for the team. It helps you play better when new players join a team with a different batting approach. Watching these young players bat in the PSL with no fear is encouraging. He added that as players who have been around for six to seven years, it also helps us realize that we need to get better.

The 27-year-old also spoke candidly about playing against express pacers in the nets because Pakistan’s team has players like Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf.

To make things easier for us in international cricket, playing quick bowlers in the nets is quite beneficial. We only experience express pace in international games when Kagiso Rabada, Pat Cummins, or Lockie Ferguson are bowling. But, we regularly encounter bowlers who bowl at 140 kph in the nets, he remarked.

The Multan native approved how well the side had prepared for the following assignments.

“Our World Cup preparations are going reasonably well. We have put together a balanced team that plays frequently. He added that eight matches would be played for us before the Asia Cup, which is sufficient from my perspective.

He continued that we have time to practice matches and prepare for the New Zealand series.

Imam is currently a member of the Pakistan ODI team, which will play a five-match ODI series against New Zealand in April and May.
