This time, a misunderstanding about Pakistani pacer Naseem Shah becoming engaged or married has kept him in the public eye.
Shah, an incredibly famous cricketer, shot to fame after turning in some standout performances at the Asia Cup 2022.
On Sunday, the 20-year-old clarified a recent Instagram post that raised questions about whether he was engaged or getting married.
A few days ago, the 20-year-old paceman posted a picture of himself sitting with his father and a relative in what appeared to be a living room on his Instagram stories. While his father and the other man were dressed formally, Shah wore a black t-shirt and a namaz cap.
“Blessed with the greatest Alhamdullah,” the cricketer had written as the caption for the photo. The context and description of the image gave online users the impression that Shah might be getting married or engaged.
The young paceman clarified the situation, stating that the earlier post “wasn’t about getting engaged or nikahfied,” in a new Instagram story.
Shah stated in the Instagram story that “mentioning ‘blessed’ doesn’t mean that its all about getting into [a] relationship or anything.”
As it is the holy month of Ramadan, he explained that the photo was taken during a straightforward iftar celebration with his family.
He also urged people to quit misinterpreting and hoped everything was now clear.
When asked about his son’s marriage intentions last year, it should be remembered that Naseem’s father stated that the pacer does not intend to marry for the next four to five years.
