The creator of “Doosra” confirmed the news by saying, “I am currently in the U.S. and will join the NZ squad when I get back on April 12.”
For a little period, Mushtaq declared, “It’s a privilege to be a member of the NZ team.”
He did say that he would help the Kiwis. When they go to Pakistan later this month for the T20I and ODI series of five games, Mushtaq’s first job with the New Zealand cricket team will be to do this.
Mushtaq Ahmed’s contract as head coach of Pakistan ended in February. After the home series against New Zealand was his last assignment.
On the other hand, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will likely hire Mickey Arthur again.
The New Zealand board may potentially engage former South African pacer Morne Morkel as a bowling coach. And Grant Bradburn as an assistant coach. Andrew Puttick is likely to be hired by Pakistan as their batting coach.
Before the home series against New Zealand starts, the coaching panel is expected to join the team.
