LAHORE: Pakistan’s budding speedster Ihsanullah stated Saturday that he doesn’t want to beat Shoaib Akhtar’s fastest ball.

The 20-year-old bowler, who regularly bowls above 140km per hour, told reporters that he strives to bowl faster but not to beat Akhtar’s record.

“Shoaib Akhtar is unbeatable. I adore bowling first and will focus on pace, line, and length “he stated.

After killing Afghanistan, Ihsanullah was kept in the T20I team.

With six wickets, he led the three-match T20I series. He received his first ODI call-up after a solid domestic season.

“I take every chance. I want to play well and help my team win “he noted.

“I’m learning from Umar Gul,” he remarked.

National team bowling coach Umar was extended.

Ihsanullah’s ball into Najibullah Zadran’s jaws made him famous throughout the Afghanistan series.

Ihsanullah apologized in Pushto.

PSL 8 made Ihsanullah famous. The right-pacer spearheaded Multan Sultans’ bowling line. He won two accolades for his 22 wickets and outstanding performance.

Ihsanullah became the first PSL emerging player to win Best Player of the Tournament. No bowler had won player-of-the-tournament before Ihsanullah.

Ravi Bopara (2016), Kamran Akmal (2017), Luke Ronchi (2018), Islamabad United (1919), Shane Watson (2019), Babar Azam (2020), Sohaib Maqsood (2021), and Mohammad Rizwan (2022) have won this prize (2022, Multan Sultans).
