Shaheen Shah Afridi wants to bat well for Pakistan after bowling

With his bat, Shaheen Shah Afridi has displayed some remarkable exploits in the recently concluded PSL 8

Shaheen Shah Afridi, a fast-bowling prodigy from Pakistan, wants to use his batting prowess to help Men in Green win matches.

In the just-finished eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), the left-handed speedster put up some impressive displays with the bat, amassing 133 runs in eight innings with a strike rate of 168.35.

Shaheen aims to make a mark with the bat once more as the home series against New Zealand approaches. During the recent training camp in Lahore, he was also observed working hard while hitting the nets.

He claimed that despite being interested in batting as a teenager, he never gave it a go. But since he did a lot of hitting practice throughout his recovery, that has lately altered.

“I’m slowly mastering the skill of batting to benefit Pakistan. He continued no matter where I bat. I want to help Pakistan win games.

The Pakistani team is now training for the limited-overs series against New Zealand at home. It should be noted.

Five ODIs and as many T20I games will be played during the Black Caps’ visit to Pakistan.

Earlier today (Sunday), the New Zealand team departed to visit Pakistan in preparation for the opening Twenty20 match in Lahore on April 14. On April 11, early morning, New Zealand will touch down in Pakistan.
