T20I Returnee Captains New Zealand Against Sri Lanka And Pakistan

New Zealand has named their T20I teams to play Sri Lanka at home and Pakistan away. There are a few new players and a number of players who are coming back.

After two years away from the T20I team, Tom Latham will lead New Zealand when he comes back. This left-handed player has been doing well in ODIs. And was said to be able to bat anywhere and have a variety of shots.

“We saw when the season started against India how strong and diverse Tom’s strokes can be,” stated head coach Gary Stead.

Cole McConchie, Rachin Ravindra, and Tim Seifert are also back on the teams after not playing in this format for a while.

Chad Bowes and Henry Shipley are the only players on the team who have never won a cap. Shipley did well in the first ODI against Sri Lanka when he took his first five wickets.

That’s a wonderful combination to have in the side for these games.”

“I’m convinced Tim Seifert and Cole McConchie will bring a great deal of enthusiasm when they rejoin.” They both did well at home this season, which helped them get picked.”
